The luminaires rotational distribution photometer is another commonly used distribution photometer. It has a simple structure, as shown in Figure 2. The LED product under test rotates around its own horizontal and vertical axes, while the photometric detector remains stationary.

In this distribution photometer, the measured LED product only rotates around its own center, and the ambient temperature change and surrounding airflow are much smaller than that of the central rotating reflector type distribution photometer. The LED product has higher stability and can achieve a very high intensity distribution measurement accuracy, and the corresponding total luminous flux measurement accuracy is also higher.

Therefore, for the measurement of LED products, the performance of the center rotating reflector distribution photometer is not as good as that of the lamp rotation distribution photometer in all aspects, except for high cost, high daily operation cost and large occupancy space.
