As a new type of infrastructure, smart rod, also known as multi-functional smart rod, is an important carrier of 5G new infrastructure. Meanwhile, 5G technology enables the construction and development of smart rod and improves the digitalization, intelligence and network transformation of traditional infrastructure. At present, Shenzhen is actively promoting new infrastructure such as 5G+ multi-functional smart poles. Taking 5G network, optical fiber network and power network as the information carrying basis, Shenzhen is integrating various smart poles equipment, promoting data sharing and utilization, and creating a number of demonstration projects for the application of new 5G infrastructure scenarios.
