In 2019, 5G will be launched for commercial use in China, with a construction upsurge in many places, from xiongan new area to shenzhen special economic zone, guangzhou to tianjin, Shanghai and chengdu, all of which are actively promoting the planning of 5G base stations and the construction of smart light piles. Since 2020, the state has put forward the development policy of "new infrastructure" and pressed the fast-forward button of 5G base station construction in many places. As the most feasible and cost-effective carrier for 5G base station deployment, smart light pole has been vigorously promoted by policies in many regions.
After the "new infrastructure" development policy was put forward, as of April 15, a number of provinces, cities and regions in China have issued 5G base stations or related smart light pole policies to promote the construction of smart light poles.

Qingdao, shandong province issues digital Qingdao 2020 action plan

On February 12, the general office of the Qingdao municipal people's government issued the "digital Qingdao 2020 action plan", making it clear that: promote the deployment and commercial promotion of 5G network, accelerate the construction of multi-functional poles, columns, piles and other new smart sensing facilities, support the construction of 5G large-scale network, and basically complete the 5G mobile network covering the central urban areas.
