To distinguished exhibitors, visitors and partners:
We are looking forward to celebrating the 20th anniversary of Light + Building with you and all our guests at home and abroad this fall. However, due to the novel coronavirus's global spread, governments around the world introduced assembly bans and travel restrictions in response to the outbreak. After careful evaluation and consultation, messe Frankfurt and its partner associations ZVEI and ZVEH, as well as the exhibitor advisory committee, finally decided to adjust the Light + Building exhibition to March 13, 2022, March 18, solstice.
We have been working with partners to make the Light + Building exhibition a success in September this year. However, there is no guarantee that a major event will be held in Germany this September, or that it will have the desired effect. In particular, the current travel restrictions in many countries for an unknown period of time also make it very uncertain for many international exhibitors and visitors to come to the exhibition and visit.
Compared with the holding of the exhibition, the health of exhibitors and visitors is the most important thing for us. In this context, we must act as soon as possible to avoid any further unnecessary costs. It's a tough decision, and we're going to have to work together
