Abstract
In order to fully characterize the focusing behavior of ultra-short pulses, different electromagnetic properties must be considered. This includes not only the spatial distribution, the time/spectrum distribution, the vector effect, but also the possible coupling between all the above factors. Taking a high NA parabolic mirror focusing 10FS pulse as an example, its focusing process is modeled in VirtualLab and its spatial-temporal characteristics are investigated.
