Interferometry is an important technique for optical measurement. It is widely used in high precision measurement of surface contour, defect, mechanical and thermal deformation. As a typical example, a Mach - Zeder interferometer with coherent laser source is built in VirtualLab Fusion with the help of non-sequence field tracing technology. This example illustrates the influence of the tilt and displacement of optical elements on the interference fringe pattern.
