Qingdao International Academician Park(QIAP) is the world’s first and only academician ecosystem which was launched in June 2016 with an aim to recruit renowned academicians globally conducting scientific R&D as well as for commercialization of their research findings in area of bio-medicine, next generation information technology,high-end equipment, alternative energy and new materials.QIAP intends to introduce 10 world class academicians, 100 singed academicians,1000 academicians for consultancy, and establish global Academician Alliance with a network of 10,000 academicians.

Located in the central urban area of city of Qingdao. QIAP enjoys a beautiful natural environment.It is close to Laoshan Mountain and has Qingdao EXPO Park situated at its back.It is surrounded by a host of higher educational institutes and reseaarch institutes that provides a strong base for scientific collaboration.Among them are Ocean University of China, Shangdong University(Qingdao).Qingdao National Laboratory of Marine Science and Technology,institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology of Chinese Academy of sciences

With a total investment of 1 billion Yuan(149 million USD),it covers a land area of 88 Chinese mu (5.9 hectare) and has a floor area of 200,000 m².There are 3 high-rise and 26 separate buildings which provide office and lab space for academicians and their teams. The station is designed as a comprehensive hub which differs from the traditional point – to – point ones.This section is already operational.
