Large-size silicon substrate LED chip technology can learn from the process technology and mature production line of integrated circuits to realize automatic mass production. The 6-inch production efficiency can be improved by 11-12 times compared with the current 2-inch, effectively reducing the production cost of chips. The cost drop will lead to a faster spread of LED lighting.

At present, in addition to Jinneng Optoelectronics, Cree, Osram, Samsung, Lumileds, Toshiba, Epistar and America Micron and other international top-tier manufacturers are investing heavily in the research and development of silicon substrate LED technology, hoping to achieve technological breakthrough on silicon substrate. The signal it gives off may reduce the doubts many have about silicon-based LED technology. Of course, this also makes the leading crystal optronics feel great pressure. Predictably, following the production and expansion of crystalline energy, the silicon substrate LED technology route will become more and more crowded.
