The first difficulty is the lack of space
Take bulb lamp for example: if the common switch constant current source is placed on LED aluminum substrate, a total of more than 30 components, including large inductance, transformer and large capacitance, components will block the light, the more components, the worse the reliability. Therefore, the switch constant current source is not available.
In this case, it can be solved by linear constant-current power supply.
But at the same time, MAO said, using ordinary linear constant-current sources is not a viable optical engine solution. Although it solves the problem of space occupation, linear flow source is inefficient, especially in high power supply, in addition, high calorific value.
Although no matter where the power supply is placed, its heat is always dispersed to the space through the radiator, but when the power supply and the lamp board are put together, the power consumed by the power supply will become heat and directly added to the lamp board, which will increase the heat dissipated by the lamp board, which will increase the junction temperature of the LED and reduce its life.
