Kyodo News reported today that kyushu University's pioneering Organic Optoelectronics Research Center announced that the "third-generation OLED", which is expected to become the next generation light-emitting material for screens such as televisions, has successfully increased the luminous efficiency of its blue light to 100 percent and will continue to improve the durability of the product to realize commercialization in the future. The research was published online Wednesday in the scientific journal Nature Photonics.

Prior to this, the research group composed by Professor Anda Qianbo and others has successfully achieved the luminous efficiency of 100% green light and about 90% red light in the three primary colors needed for commercialization. The most difficult blue light is limited to 50%, and after recombining the molecular structure of the material, the blue light finally becomes more efficient.
